The “Ourson” uses the tread pattern of the Panaracer “Col de la Vie,” but with the much-nicer Grand Bois casing and a folding bead. Even so, the Ourson’s performance on pavement is limited by the Col de la Vie’s “micro-knob” tread pattern. On the other hand, on loose surfaces, the tread provides good traction. It’s a nice tire, and many users like it, but it’s not as fast as the other Grand Bois tires.
We look forward to the new “Lierre.” The new tire uses a custom mold with a tread pattern optimized for performance.
